One of Brazil’s most talented and recorded bossa nova bands in the 60’s and early 70’s. They perfected a breezy and swinging version of bossa nova vocal/pop that proved incredibly popular and influential in Brazil and throughout the world. The Tamba Trio featured pianist Luis Eca, bassist/flautist Bebeto and Helcio Milito on Tamba. They recorded 16 albums, mostly on Universal and BMG labels. The albums on this page and the next two pages represent their best recorded music.
