This album was a departure for Helcio because it was not Brazilian bossa nova Jazz but Brazilian Pop/Classical and featured a string quartet and INSTRUMENTINOS. It was originally produced by Helcio in 1967 and released on the CBS label. It proved to be very successful and sold thousands of copies in Brazil, Europe and Japan.

Because the music is timeless, it will be re-released sometime in 2007 on the SONY label.
